Hyderabad is emerging as a hotspot in the data centre space, driven by industry-friendly policy incentives, reliable power supply and economical setup costs. The city’s inventory is set to grow three times by 2023, with 66 MW capacity addition. Kautilya School of Public Policy (KSPP), GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad has signed an MoU with the Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC), an initiative by the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, Government of Telangana. ‘Medicine from the Sky’ project, launched during Wings 2020, is an initiative of the Government of Telangana in partnership with the World Economic Forum. The EoI that was released to invite participants for this study had received 16 applications, of which 7 would be undertaking flights in the Vikarabad District under this project. IT Minister KT Rama Rao directed officials on Thursday to expand the Telangana Fiber Grid (T-Fiber) project to cover all municipalities in the State. As part of the project expansion, the Minister directed officials to conduct a survey in Greater Hyderabad limits and submit a report at the earliest.
