During the session, the Minister introduced the progressive industrial policies of Telangana Government and also highlighted the investment opportunities in priority sectors like Information Technology, BFSI, Food Processing, Pharma and Life Sciences, Aerospace and Defence.
Minister KTR also mentioned about the availability of land, water, power and human resources in the State for prospective investors. The Minister reiterated that Telangana will either meet or beat the offer given by any Indian State.
Second round table session
IT Minister KTR chaired a second round table session jointly organized by UK Indian Business Council and techUK in London. Collaboration between the UK and Telangana in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cleantech, HealthTech and AgriTech was discussed in the meeting.
During the session, Minister KTR stated that Hyderabad is India’s leading Tech Hub which already houses several marquee companies which are engaged in cutting edge technology development.
Minister added that Hyderabad offers great opportunities for SMEs in Emerging Technologies. The Minister mentioned that Telangana State has excellent sectoral policies unlike any other Indian state.
Minister opined that the techUK and HYSEA could work together on a bilateral engagement to help SMEs explore opportunities.
Third round table session
In the 3rd round table meeting organized by UK India Business Council & SMMT in London, Minister KTR interacted with automobile industry leaders & pitched the state as a investment destination. Minister stated that Telangana is one of the front runners in the EV revolution.
During the session, Minister KTR mentioned that Telangana State has launched a comprehensive and progressive EV Policy. He stated that several marquee EV companies have already chosen Telangana to set up their facilities.
Minister said that Telangana ranks top in Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) rankings and has a strong ecosystem in Defence R&D, and an emerging Storage industry.
