Minister KTR inaugurated the IndiaJoy – Asia’s Biggest Digital Entertainment Festival
IT and Industries Minister KTR inaugurated the IndiaJoy – Asia’s Biggest Digital Entertainment Festival happening in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Mr. Biren Ghose Country Head-Technicolor India, Chairman-CIl National AVGC Sub Committee, Mr. Sai Srinivas, Co-Founder & CEO – Mobile Premier League, Actor Sudheer Babu, Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Rajiv Chilakalapudi CEO, Green Gold Animation & other dignitaries were present.

Speaking at the inaugural event, Minister KTR said, “The IMAGE (Innovation in Multimedia, Animation, Gaming & Entertainment) sector is one which has been able to ride over the pandemic-created uncertainties with lots of resilience and innovation.”

Minister Said Telangana is one of the major contributors of VFX outsourcing to Hollywood & regional film markets thanks to its most comprehensive VFX ecosystem comprising of 20 academies creating world-class talent pool & 40+ VFX production houses employing about 30,000 resources.

Hyderabad based Gaming companies have also made the best of the new market opportunities created during the pandemic. 45 Companies have chosen Hyderabad as their destination in gaming sector in the last two years taking the total to 80 gaming companies in Hyderabad.

On the sidelines of the Indiajoy event, the Government Of Telangana and Mobile Premier League entered an MoU. In the presence of Minister KTR, Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Mobile Premier League CEO Sai Srinivas signed the MoU respectively.

According to the MoU signed, Mobile Premier League will set up a game development center employing 500 youth in the State.

MPL will work with TASK Telangana to introduce special game development, animation and sports focussed courses to enhance the available talent pool in the state.
