Russian Delegates Express Interest in Investing in Telangana

Telangana’s Minister for IT and Industries, Sridhar Babu, expressed gratitude to representatives of the Russian government for showing interest in investing in the state. He assured them of full government support for their initiatives.

On Tuesday, Russian delegates paid a courtesy visit to the minister at the assembly premises. During the meeting, Minister Sridhar Babu outlined the state government’s initiatives for industrial development and the incentives being offered to entrepreneurs. He emphasized Telangana’s ambition to become the Global Capital of AI, highlighting the establishment of a prestigious 200-acre AI City. He encouraged Russian companies to explore investment opportunities in this landmark project.

Additionally, he spoke about the Young India Skills University, which has been set up to train global experts in AI and emerging technologies. Minister Sridhar Babu pointed out that many of the world’s leading companies have a strong presence in Telangana. He noted that Hyderabad has emerged as a hub for Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and the Vaccine Capital of the world.

He expressed pride in the establishment of Amgen’s second-largest GCC globally in Hyderabad, after its headquarters in the US. He also highlighted the role of institutions like T-Hub and T-Works in fostering innovation.

The Telangana government is eager to collaborate with Russia in IT, innovation, and emerging technologies. Furthermore, he stated that Telangana would study Russia’s best practices in delivering public services to enhance governance efficiency.

The meeting was attended by Russian government representatives Lidmila Ogorodova, Dmitry Starostin, Ramil Khismatullin, and Vera Pronchina, along with TGIIC MD Vishnuvardhan Reddy, TGIIC CEO Madhusudan, and other officials.
