Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad aims to foster innovation that advances society through effective use of science and technology.
Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) is the nodal agency for Hyderabad Science & Technology (S&T) Cluster, an initiative of the Office of Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA) to the Government of India. It is a Section 8 company under the Companies Act 2013.
Launched in 2017 by the Government of Telangana, RICH acts as a facilitator and aims to foster greater collaboration between various entities in the research and innovation space. RICH operates in close coordination with the S&T Cluster Apex Committee and the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC). The Clusters work towards achieving the following broad objectives:
- To increase India’s national & global S&T competitiveness.
- To become regional solution providers for local industry & government.
- To create shared S&T ecosystems in India.

Initiatives and programs
Mission 10X
A targeted high impact program to accelerate 10X growth of early revenue startups through consorted efforts of Telangana state incubators and enablers ecosystem. The program aims to identify the early revenue startups and help them with market access, corporate connects and funding opportunities through a collaborative effort from the ecosystem.
Acceleration Initiative for Diagnostics
The Acceleration Initiative for Diagnostics (AID) program of the Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) offers a valuable platform to startups and entrepreneurs in the ever-growing diagnostics sector. The programme aims to identify and nurture the best startups in the diagnostics space for nationwide as well as global impact.
Agri Nutri-connect Project
The project will design and implement interventions to promote dietary diversity among the vulnerable groups in tribal regions in Telangana thereby addressing the problem of malnutrition. Project aligned with National Missions – National POSHAN Abhiyaan, Anemia Mukt Bharat program, Giri Poshana program.
Drone Technologies for a Better Living
The project aims to develop and demonstrate drone-based technologies for vector control, afforestation and medical delivery. Project aligned with National Missions – National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NCBDCP), Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP).
Entrepreneur Fellowship Programme
This program envisions to equip the science and technology researcher/developer community with entrepreneurial skillset, business and industry acumen, and commercial outlook needed to facilitate technology innovation and entrepreneurship. This project is aligned with the national mission ‘AGNIi’.
Hyderabad Reagents Consortium
The Hyderabad Reagents Consortium is an effort to identify opportunities and fill the gaps in the affordable manufacturing of indigenous diagnostics and reagents. Project aligned with National Missions – Atmanirbhar Bharat, National Biopharma Mission.
