Cybersecurity and Privacy

The Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CoE) is a joint initiative of the Government of Telangana and Data Security Council of India (DSCI). DSCI is a not-for-profit, industry body on data protection in India, setup by NASSCOM that is committed to making cyberspace safe, secure and trusted by establishing best practices, standards and initiatives in cybersecurity and privacy. It is the apex industry body for Cybersecurity in India.

About Cybersecurity CoE

Cybersecurity CoE acts as a nerve centre in Hyderabad to protect, uplift and build a solid ecosystem for Cybersecurity and Privacy. It hosts delegations, incubates start-ups, hosts training, workshops, events, showcases products in an experience zone and delivers local, national and international initiatives. All these are achieved by abiding by its vision and mission along with state-of-the-art technology, tools and infrastructure.

Vision

To accelerate Telangana’s cybersecurity momentum and position it as one of the leading cybersecurity hubs in India.

Mission

To lead Telangana’s transformation by creating a conducive cybersecurity ecosystem that nurtures innovation, entrepreneurship and capability building.

Aim

It aims to provide secure and resilient cyberspace to fulfill the needs of the digital economy and society by creating a Global cluster of Cybersecurity organizations in Telangana. The centre helps bringing together a community of individuals and organizations that together work towards developing the Cybersecurity space for the larger good.

The five pillars

The CoE fosters incubation, innovation, expertise and collaboration in the twin areas of Cybersecurity and Privacy – the two cornerstones that when nurtured together will enable CoE to act as a nerve center in Hyderabad. This vision builds up and supports the five main pillars of the ecosystem:

  2. Government
  3. Academia and R&D Centres
  4. User groups
  5. Collaborations with other Industry bodies, Incubators and Accelerators

The CoE conducts specific programs with the entities in each of the following areas: Collaboration, Promotion, Capability Building, Innovation and Knowledge sharing, Events, Market Access, Marketing, Networking, Incubation and Research & Development.

The Facility

The Cybersecurity CoE facility aims to act as a catalyst for development in Cybersecurity and as a centre for Cybersecurity activities and initiatives in the region. With a facility sprawling over 6,000 Sq. Ft. in Manjeera Corporate Trinity in Hyderabad, it showcases an incubation centre, a showcase zone, a training centre, a conference room, etc. It will incubate start-ups, host trainings, workshops, events, showcase products in an experience zone and will enable Cybersecurity CoE to fulfilling its goals and objectives. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology tools and infrastructure for the development of cutting-edge Cybersecurity products.
